Terms of Use

Last updated September 2026

These terms cover the use of the RVIBS Online School website and online classroom.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access to it.

Creating an account is not by itself an admission or an enrolment. Admission to a programme is confirmed by our admissions team, and enrolment in a course follows admission. Short courses marked as open for self-enrolment are the exception: those begin as soon as you enrol.

Fees

Fees shown in the catalogue are stated with the basis on which they are charged — per term, per module, or in total. Fees are payable in Kenyan Shillings unless stated otherwise.

Where a fee is shown as "on application", it is set when we discuss your programme with you.

Course content

Course materials are provided for your personal study. You may not redistribute, resell or publish them.

We may update course content, timetables and intake dates. Where a change materially affects a programme you are enrolled in, we will tell you.

Certificates and accreditation

Certificates for our programmes are issued by Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies. Where a programme is accredited by an external body, that body and the accreditation number are stated on the programme page. A certificate issued by RVIBS is not by itself a statement of external accreditation.

Ending your use

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend an account that is used to breach these terms, and will say why.
